What it does

What Prayer Journal & Prayer List does

A journal for your prayers

Write on a ruled page, the way you would in a notebook. Mark each page as a prayer, praise, thanks, confession or a reflection, and date it. Search every page, or look back month by month. Each page saves itself as you write.

A prayer list you can mark answered

Add the people and needs on your heart, and mark each one prayed for today with a tap. When a prayer is answered, record when and how, in your own words: the Answered list becomes a record of thanks.

Pray through your list

One request at a time, with nothing else on the screen. The requests prayed for longest ago come first, so with a long list nobody is forgotten. Pray for all of them each time, or for three, five or ten.

A verse and a question for each day

Every day brings a verse to reflect on and a question to pray with. Tap Reflect to write about the verse with its words on the page.

The whole Bible, offline

The Berean Standard Bible and the World English Bible, both in the public domain and both complete inside the app, laid out as their publishers set them. Go straight to a reference, search for any words, and pick verses to reflect on, copy or share.

Days of prayer, kept gently

A week of days, marked when you write, pray through your list or tap I prayed today. Missing a day takes nothing away, and you can hide the record.

A lock of your phone's own

Lock the journal with your fingerprint, face or screen lock, and it is hidden in recent apps too. The app keeps no code of its own and never sees yours.

Your journal stays yours

Everything is stored on your phone. Back up to a file, export it as text to read or print, restore it on a new phone, or delete it all in one tap. No account, and no internet access at all.

Privacy

Nothing leaves your phone

Prayer Journal & Prayer List has no internet access at all and collects nothing. Your journal pages, your prayer requests (with who they are for, the days you prayed for them and how they were answered), the days you mark as prayed and your settings are stored only on your device. Both Bibles are inside the app, so reading and searching them happens on your device too.

Questions

Which Bible translations does it have?

Two, complete and offline: the Berean Standard Bible (BSB) and the World English Bible (WEB). Both are in the public domain. Their words are the publishers' own, checked verse by verse against each publisher's text before every release.

Why not the NIV, ESV or KJV?

The NIV, ESV and NLT are under copyright and are not free to include. The King James Version is in the public domain in most countries but not in the United Kingdom, where the app is also sold, so it is not in this first version.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No. There is no sign-up, and the app has no internet access at all: everything, both Bibles included, works offline.

Who can read my journal?

Only someone holding your phone. Nothing you write leaves it, and you can lock the app with your phone's own fingerprint, face or screen lock.

How do I mark a prayer answered?

Open the request on your prayer list, tap Answered, and write when and how. It moves to the Answered list, which shows how long you prayed for each.

What counts as a day of prayer?

A day you wrote in the journal, prayed for a request, or tapped I prayed today. Missing a day takes nothing away, and you can hide the record in Settings.

Can I keep my journal if I change phones?

Yes. Save a backup file from Settings and restore it on the new phone. On Android 12 and later, Android's own phone-to-phone transfer brings it across too. You can also export it as plain text to read or print.

What data does it collect?

None. Your prayers, requests and settings stay on your phone. There is no account, no analytics and no ads. When you buy the app, Google Play sends us a record of the sale without your name or email address; the privacy policy says exactly what it contains.

How much does it cost?

You pay once, on Google Play, in your own currency: US$2.99 in the United States. There is no subscription, no ads and nothing more to buy, every update is included, and it is yours on any Android phone signed in to the same Google account.

Is it sold in my country?

It is on Google Play in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and Singapore. If you would like it where you live, tell us from the support page.

Can I get a refund?

Purchases go through Google Play. Within 48 hours of buying, you can request a refund on Google Play; after that, write to us from the support page.
